Take it off the air? Are you KIDDING? This is good for a whole other season! There'll be a special episode just for the rope mark. It's not scary that there are people like her out there- there always will be, churning out another generation of the same. What's scary is there's an audience demand for stupid inbred trailer trash acting out in any abysmal manner that brings in the viewers. Be it this little bit of suburban Hell, the shores of Jersey or the Kardashian manse, it's just a bigger trailer.
I thought I read somewhere that the 1st "Teen Moms" (Amber, Farrah, Catelyn, & Maci) are going to film another season. If that's true, I sure hope Amber's suicide attempt wasn't filmed. Although MTV would be ecstatic over the ratings boost, I think Leah (Amber's 2-year old daughter) has already been through enough. Have to admit, I love to watch the show, but I wince when I see how the parent's immaturity affects their kids. I do wish the best for this trouble little family, though.
Qeplah, I doubt it, as she is no longer a "Teen Mom" but a 21 year old woman. Her star with the franchise has long faded, and I don't think they will go back to it. They might make mention of her at the most, but I wouldn't even hold your breath for that.
What's really scary is that this kind of thing happens at all. I am Amber's age and if I had willingly had sex before marriage and gotten pregnant as a teen my parents would have been livid with me. It was drilled into my head from day one that sex was meant for marriage and that is a conviction that I came to myself at the age of 11... I could not bear the thought of having a child and dealing with the pressures of my adolescence while also caring for a baby. It is a belief I stand by to this day... I am a virgin patiently waiting for her husband before having sex.
What is frightening is that shows like "Teen Mom" and "16 and Pregnant" imply to young ones that having consensual sex and conceiving a child at the age of 16 or younger is acceptable and it really is not. Parents don't teach kids any better anymore. They have let VH1, MTV and BET raise their children for them. I am by no means saying it's entirely the parents fault but, really, let's be honest... they played a part or a lack thereof.
Mark, she was 16 when her show aired. It has been several years, obviously since she was on an episode of 16 and Pregnant. There was another show that she was part of called Teen Mom which followed former 16 and Pregnant moms as they try to raise their kids.
As I read the article I came across the tweet from Amber's ex... why the heck did they mention his weight??? Ridiculous and not relevant.
I completely agree what does that have to do with anything beside embarass him.
AWWW was the little pampered princess not getting enough attention, BOO HOO HOO
Perhaps MTV should take this show off the air. It's doing more harm than good..... besides it's just trash!
I agree, monal. All the show does is focus on the drama between the teens and their families/babies fathers, etc. . .

Update: Season Premiere of Teen Mom (1) is July 5th at 10PM.

Interesting how she was on a show about being 16 and pregnant when it turns out she was really 19 and pregnant...

What does Gary's weight have anything to do with the article. That was a unecessary detail.....
