If I was CBS, I would have fired him. That being said, Charlie can now go make movies with "super stars"

Maybe the fact that they just announced FIRING him about 90 minutes ago?

Remember, they'd only suspended production until now.

I'd love to see those million people who so quickly 'followed' him on Twitter, to collectively click at an appointed time to 'unfollow' him.

Raise the man up and drop him as quickly!!! He'd then b|tch about that too as everytime someone says something negative, they are on his hit list. He truly needs to have his ego deflated.

Two Million per episode .... and he want three? ... Must be a tough life & a lot of hard work ...

most Americans can only dream about a fair working wage, much less a raise from two million to three million dollars .... for a few days work ..

And if YOU were the one who was funny enough to make a sitcom #1 for 7 years running, you probably wouldn't blink at taking $2-3M per episode either. Those who've got it, flaunt it. Those who don't got it, want it.

Exactly! Only we squirm with disbelief at Charlie Harper, the morally debased character, not admire him. I hope he gets help, but he is out of touch with his own identity as a responsible human being.

I read Warner's 11 page letter to which was attached 10 pages of publicity issued by Charlie Sheen. 10 PAGES IS A LOT!

Nonetheless, my prediction is that Sheen will be paid for the remaining 8 episodes and the attorney who drafted Sheen's agreement WILL BE REASSIGNED.

Warner DID NOT have a clear cut reason for termination (in accordance with his contract anyway) based on my read of Warner's letter.

Maybe All this notoriety would make his show even more popular is debatable. Sheen is a Druggy and getting $1,800,000 PER episode is a Dream which HE scuttled.... Robert Downey Jr. went through this SAME scenario; got the Right Judge, Trial and Jail time and look at Iron Man Now!!! Well Done Robert!!! Charlie?? Pay Attention!!!!!!!

What happened to Charlie Sheen was Supposed to.

it is about time that producers showed some of these actors that entertaining is the occupation they chose, and as in any job, if you behave badly or use drugs and are a falling down drunk....you will get fired!

Hope the show survives without him.

I don't think you understood what you read if you read the letter or the contract. I doubt Charlie's contract is online and if it is....

Nonetheless, I read the letter to Charlie's lawyer and know that the terms they cited MEANS THEY ARE GRASPING AT STRAWS for grounds to fire him. "Force majeure?" - PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ME LAUGH.

Charlie's lawyer pretty much laughed at the letter and I did too.

      #1.19 - Tue Mar 8, 2011 8:57 AM EST

Hope the show survives without him.

Charlie Sheen WAS the show. Without him, there is no show. Whether you all want to admit it or not, Charlie Sheen is a damn good actor.

And like most actors, he's a little eccentric.

        #1.20 - Tue Mar 8, 2011 9:00 AM EST

What a penis Sheen turned into.

        MAN HE IS SOOOO HIGH!

          #1.21 - Tue Mar 8, 2011 9:31 AM EST

Charlie Sheen is a damn good actor????? He was portraying the PG-13 version of his own life. How is that acting? The only major roll he had that was worth noting was Platoon and that was a long long time ago. Other than that, he has been in a lot of crap. Don't get me wrong, it was money making crap like Hot Shots but not something to brag about at an Oscar's after party.

The big winner will be his attorney because not only will he have this lawsuit with CBS/Warner, I'm betting that the goddesses will come up with something. He still has the hotel incident with the porn actress and everyone else will start crawling out of the woodwork. If it was just the women he could hang with Tiger Woods but the drugs and alcohol will make it really tough to remember his side of any story.

Life is funny. On one hand you have a man that has everything and can afford his illegal lifestyle but is going to ruin everything because of his lifestyle. On the other hand you have the regular working stiff who hates their life and wants drugs and alcohol to escape their pathetic reality but can't afford it. They become the criminals.

It amazes me that famous people still believe they are bulletproof and even more amazing it is usually the comedic actors that fall the hardest. Who wouldn't like to see John Belushi or Chris Farley back on the big screen? At least they weren't obnoxiously public about it. They didn't flaunt it.

How is it that Sheen can go on television and on radio spouting off about his illegal drug use but yet hasn't been arrested? We aren't talking about a bag of weed we are talking about the hard stuff. Must be nice to be able to openly live an illegal lifestyle without any repercussions. Hell he could probably fire up a joint at a police convention and nobody would question it.

Down the rabbit hole he goes and if this doesn't end in death it will end with his career going the route of a Danny Bonaducci. All the attention he is getting from the media over his lifestyle plus the fact that he is still being offered work. Why quit?

I have never once seen a Two and a Half Men where anyone told Charlie that he needed help. Just jokes about being an alcoholic, jokes about popping pills and jokes about being a man whore. No wonder he thinks it is all acceptable. I think a big part of his problem is that there is no separation between Charlie Harper and Charlie Sheen. The goddesses prove that. It's just a shame that he has kids involved.

With all that being said, I am no saint and I have lived through my partying and one night stand years and it was fun. I am also currently 45 years old and have responsibilities like family and kids and that lifestyle was left behind. I'm thankful I never got into the hard stuff because who knows where I would be today.

He has the means and the wealth to get help and really could use the Robert Downeys of the world to get there. Now that he is unemployed he needs to get past the denial stage and get some serious help. Six months out of the spotlight wouldn't kill him.

Leaping of my two and a half soapboxes.

We spend too much media time for someone like Charlie Sheen and his hideous life style. Everyone should just stop already and he will go away either in a casket or loose all his money and be a nobody which is becoming more apparent every day.

            #1.24 - Tue Mar 8, 2011 11:10 AM EST

Agreed - never thought he was much of an actor either. He's always playing some version of his sorry self - not that talented. Also, never thought the show was funny either - but I hope it goes on without him.

Hopefully, they'll do the "full South Park" - the next episode will feature the remaining "man and a half" returning from his funeral, resulting from his drunken high-speed chase in his car, where he ran off a cliff. Then the car caught on fire. Then the car bounced down a cliff. Then was washed into the ocean. Still on fire. And then an empty plane would crash into it.

Then Uncle John Stamos can come join the family, because Jon Cryer's character would still have to have help with his son. There - done. Then I'd watch.

I hope the mothers of the various kids all get Court orders about the kids and visitation as the safety issue of the revolving door of the porn workers and who knows who else through the house is not safe for those kids. Sheen has surrounded himself with 'yes' people whom he pays and who DO NOT have the best interests of the children in mind. All the 'yes' people are 'enablers' including his Celeb buddies supposedly supporting him. One, if truthfully supporting him being Sean Penn - I just lost all the respect for him and what he has done for Haiti. The last thing people in Haiti need is Sheen going there. Penn needs his freakin' head read.

Dude is hilarious. If he pulls a Joaquin Phoenix and has this thing recorded the whole time from a reality perspective he would make quite a pretty penny if he could distribute it while he's still smoking hot in controversy. He could really cash in cause people are hanging on to his every word waiting for him to crash but he can flip it and charge them for his flip out.

There's no breach for him to sue for. There's got to be a morals clause. After all, we are talking about Charlie Sheen.

One would hope that those in power at CBS have consulted heavily with their lawyers as to whether Sheen could win a lawsuit. Surely they have a leg on which to stand considering the number of times that his shenanigans have halted production.

Sheen admitted in one of these tirades that he's moved his marks from time to time because he was so zonked, just so he'd have something to lean on.

He's given them everything they need to legally walk away, I believe.

I feel so sorry for Jon and Angus, and the rest of the great cast, they are, in my opinion, funnier than Charlie! Jon should have his own show.

Let's forget about Charlie and focus on his children. He should not be allowed to see any of his kids at this time, what a scary time for them. Let's talk about how vunerable they are and please, x-wife's don't let him snow you as well. He is in a world of trouble and it doesn't look like it will end in a good way.

If he would have just kept his big mouth shut in the last few wks. So I guess piss on the fans of the show.

Charlie worked so hard to get fired, I'm sure he's happy now.

But, what about my show? I'd really like my show back please.

Maybe this is it, but if it is I definitely think there should be a spin off with Jon Cryer.

Personally, I think they took too long before they fired this fool.

He was most entertaining recently ------ better than the show itself. CBS made a mistake by firing someone that could bring tons of new viewers to that show. Of course, it would only be logical that CBS would overlook what is right under their noses -- an opportunity for increased viewership. They should have intervened from the start to get him some help. Now they can only wait to see their ratings go down the toilet -- CBS is last in everything on TV and will now lose millions more in revenue. Good job, CBS!!! Good luck, Charlie!! Take care of yourself and especially your beautiful children. Maybe you can make some great movies now!!

Rose...obviously, you haven't seen the Neilson ratings lately...CBS has most of the top 19 programs week after week. I never watched his show and I certainly won't miss it...and that's because of him and his lifestyle and his lack of responsibility and morals.

Rose - you overlook the fact that Sheen has turned off so many of the loyal viewers. His actions have caused the show to lose more viewers than it will gain. I used to watch it. I didn't approve of the innuendos and fart jokes, but I liked the supporting cast. Jon Cryer and the others are very talented. However, I'm so sick of Sheen and his inflated ego after the past couple of weeks that I refuse to even listen to reruns.

Charlie Sheen, you would probably snort yourself if you could.

They should replace Sheen and prove that the show's concept was thedraw, not him.

Yes replace this sorry punk and get the show going again. With all the talent out there these days they could do better.

See if his brother is available to finish out the contracted episodes ... just get him to dye his hair dark and nobody will notice.

I'll notice-- and I might watch it, for once. I like Emilio Estevez! Unlike his brother, he would have to act!

I think it would require the addition of long lost more talented brother Emilio Estevez, death of Charlie's character, and the removal of that dang laugh thingy for me to enjoy the show.

I agree. Why fire him! How come none of the other stars of the show didnt say a word? Did CBS/Warner Bros order them to keep their mouth shut or they would get fired too?

                                  Something doesnt smell right.

Just cause one moron from the show decided to blow his face off with TNT doesn't mean everyone in the show will follow suit. You'd be stupid to follow in this idiot's footsteps.

Maybe the other members of the cast simply have more class. Why does it have to "smell bad" simply because no one else chose to stoop to his level?

I have to admit, I really tried to continue to like this guy and understand where he was coming from. I can kind of understand a little of it. But I'm glad they did this. Yes he's entitled to his personal life but they can't appear to support his illicit drug use and other problems which he is not really addressing. Firing was the only right thing to do. People are dying right now fighting for basic freedoms elsewhere in the world and he's asking for $3 mil an episode. For a sitcom? I'm tired of hearing about Charlie. If he had any decency he would have thought about his fellow cast members and crew.
