Everything the Palins do is political. Give me a break. By the way, where are all the screamers regarding the fact that this girl is a young mother who opted to participate in this program and begs the question where is her young son? Further, people went crazy when Kate Gosselin joined the cast and now, not a word regarding this girl who should be home finishing her education and raising her son. I guess doing those kinds of things don't get you publicity the Palins crave.
Is it fair to just ask her where her son is? I believe there was other contestants that have young children and one in particular I remember had an younger infant that was on the show than Bristol's son - did you ever write in to ask THAT person what she was doing on the show when SHE had a baby at home? Or how about Drew Lachey whose wife was in the last stages of pregnancy - why he wasn't there with her instead of being on the show - or several members Jane - Marie who had parents DIE that still came back and participated on the show? How TOTALLY unfair to even ask that question! THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL SHOW - it's ENTERTAINMENT!!!!

Mother of two-you clearly weren't on the newsvine when those other people were on. People do question that of all the contestants who are dancing when they possibly should be elsewhere. There's at least one in every bunch.
Bristol has received no flack whatsoever from the Judges. In fact they have been way too easy with judging her skills and character interpretations; while at the same time they have blistered Brandy and Jennifer. Bristol's dance skills are too hesitant, & lacking with good, full extensions. Her dance character is BLASE and the Judges are playing politics by being way too easy on her with their comments and high scores. This is supposed to be a dance entertainment show of skills and not about politics. And pray tell, why is her mother's face constantly on the show when none of the other spouses, boyfriends, or parents of the celebrities have been interviewed continually over and over for comments, as well as for promoting the person, who is not a dancer on the show,?? This show is not about Sara Palin! Shame on the Judges for not being honest in their judging profession and the TV station for playing politics for ratings. Those tactics are not fair to any of the other dancing contestants. If we wanted to watch politics, we could view CNN, FOX NEWS, or MSNBC, etc. Granted she does have an outspoken, parrot like mouth as does her mother. Like Grizzly Bear mama, like Monkey daughter!!

Last week when they showed her practising in Alaska with Sarah and Todd there, Bristol was wearing a 'Tea Party' t-shirt. It was noticed and commented on in various rightwing blogs and Bristol's FB page. Bristol acknowledged and thanked them for noticing. Her comment response also included 'Go Tea Party'.

She just commented tonight that she's not fake -- BS. She learned well from her mother as she actually perjured herself in Court lying about the email break in where the young man is now sentenced to a year in jail.

So let me guess, if she was wearing an Obama shirt -you'd think she was brilliant wouldn't you? Or wait - maybe if she was sitting on her a$$ collecting welfare you'd respect her more. You people are pathetic.
Bristol complained that Maks does not talk to her because he doesn't think she's as skilled as the other dancers. She said this to In Touch magazine. Now watch. All the Palin followers will now start attacking Maks. DWTS has been taken over by the Tea Party.
Just because she says, "I don't believe it is so" does not make it that way. "Say it ain't so, Joe" comes to mind. It is all political.
It isn't the intelligence or the politics of dancing that counts, but instead the gracefulness and execution of the dance performed along with the dance character. In Bristol's very last dance performed, her one arm was held out in a flopped downward scarecrow position, rather than in a graceful upward flow. Yet, not one Judge picked up on this major flaw up and commented on it that to help her in the next dance. Her head facing with a blank, blackout face in one direction for way too long was another major flaw ignored by the Judges and has been since the first show. Was there a show deal and the Judges told to be easy on her?? It certainly looks that way with each show's passing.
Good for you Bristol for speaking out! For those that think the "tea party" are keeping you dancing - I say of course there are some of them voting for you and I am just as sure some have other favorites! This is a dancing show people - not a primary! Give Bristol the respect and courtesy of judging and liking her for herself and not making it just about her mother. What mother out there would not support their daughter? Everyone acts like it's a huge deal for Sarah to be in the audience cheering her daughter on like it's a play for political gains - can't we just accept that this is a mother and daughter who love each other?! Bristol if you are reading this - good luck to you - I honestly have not voted for you and I have my favorite that I wanted to see win but he's (Kurt) gone now - and I have a new favorite - but I do enjoy your journey and progress and wish you well for your future!

Of course the Tea Party is doing all the voting! I'm so done with DWTS, they just ruined this show. It's not about dancing, Bristol has made this a Tea Party political rally. Disgusting.
You must have blinders on-------she has had the lowest scores from the judges----she is not as good as any of the others---her scores show that----she is still on this show BECAUSE OF HER MOTHER MAKING SURE SHE GETS THOSE VOTES!!!!!
I don't think this whole controversy is Bristol's fault, in fact I kinda feel sorry for the position she is in. But if you don't think voting fraud is going on (listen up ABC!!) they should check out this site where everyone is explaining how to scam the vote and bragging on how many votes they have made.

Could you please also explain "Operation Bristol?" I researched that online and found that quite interesting as well. Not political, huh? Sending blanket texts to party members and getting people who don't watch the show to vote isn't political? Hmmm....
This may very well be my last season watching DWTS. I feel it has become less of a dancing competition and more of a reality TV popularity contest. Bristol Palin, known only for being Alaska's most famous unwed mother, doesn't qualify as a "star" in my book. If people of this caliber continue to be spotlighted, I'm done. Might as well watch "Dance Your A** Off". At least you can relate to what motivates these people.

How silly. Of course she's still there because of her mother's political supporters AND because the producers realize that having her remain on the show helps boost the ratings. She clearly is not the most talented of this group, and certainly is not better than even Audrina, who was voted out weeks ago.
Bristol's dancing ability rivals Kate Gosselin.....they both dance like stiff planks. She is a pretty girl but has zero appeal on the dance floor. Audrina, Warner, and Fox beat her hands down so of course the teabags are supporting her. IMO this cheapens the show.
Is she really that naive? Sarah is riding the coat tails of DWTS. She and ABC should be ashamed for making any statements otherwise. The producers are probably secretly Tea Party members.

I can't add anything more. A lame duck can't walk well. It can't dance well, and it doesn't know when others are telling her the truth! This was a no brainer by week 1. Your baby needs it's mother, he or she doesn't need a talentless tart who actually believes she's good and that her mother isn't pushing the Tea Party to push the telephone speed dial! The truth is: Bristol is a lame duck and one that is ignorant to the fact she's being used. I feel genuinely sorry for her, by golly.

Now why can't more voters out there realize this when it comes time to vote intellectually for the best candidate that might get the U.S. out of this mess? I read that. Discrediting Bristol's participation only shows how low she sinks. I actually felt sorry for BP when I read it. Her mother will throw anyone under the bus if it gets her two more minutes of publicity.

I like Bristol and I am a Liberal. I know many Liberals that Vote for Bristol and Mark every week. I believe that the producers go out a pick an easy early vote off to start the season. However their plan backfired when Hasselhoff was the first to go and not Bristol. I think they thought she was not going to go past the first week.
To me she has this likeability to her. What is sad is that everything is based on who you vote for and not you personality

It is unfortunate that Bristol comes froma political family. as she says her dancing gets better with time, the sad part is that better dancers got booted off due to the political power of Bristol's mother. You can improve in with dancing lessons paid for with your own Funds not someone elses misfortune to battle a political position.

You should never have been selected to be on the show in the first damned place! The ONLY reason you are on the program is because of your opportunist mother! I am a huge fan of Sarah Palin, and I think Bristol has shown a lot of improvment. Than being said, I have not voted for her, so you may think it is about politics and for some it may be but for the majority it is not. Isn't this show "Dancing With the Stars" ? Since when is Bristol a star? She does a good job playing the victim. I predict that she will astound everyone and make it to the finals. This will be the final nail in the coffin for the show. You had a good run DWTS, but you blew it bringing this one to the show.
Bristol couldn't possible believe her own remark of "No politics involved " And shame on the TV Station for bringing politics into an entertainment show (one that we stopped watching after the monkey suit performance).

I think it could also be a bit of a backlash from all of the weeks of blogs where people said that they were only voting for her because she was "such a good Christian girl." If someone is kept on a dancing competition because of their religious/political stance rather than their dancing ability, perhaps some of the comments are justified.
Maybe then the hatred should be directed towards those groups making those statements. Not a kid who has the fortune or misfortune of having a parent in the limelight/crosshairs & who, like millions of other teenage girls got knocked up before marriage. So far we haven't heard of wild partying or any other typical behavior of other famous girls her age. We see a young woman thrust into the limelight by no doing of her own, making the most of the situation. She's paying her own bills like any ADULT would do rather then holding her hand out for a welfare check. She's getting lampooned by the same adults who likely cry foul when any other person her age gets bullied. Critisism can be productive but the things people post on here are pure hatred. I don't ever & have never vote(d) for anyone on this show. I am not able to watch every episode & make an intelligent choice as to who is the best or most improved. I simply don't understand why all you who do watch are so nasty about who's on the show. Are you jealous? Would it make you happier if she was working at minimum wage barely supporting herself & her child like most democrats do? Would it be better if she was living off the taxpayers? And where would you get the idea that I'm a Palin obsessive? It seems to me like all you haters are the obsessive ones! I personally do not know why everybody is being so nasty with the comments about Bristol. I don't think she should be in the competition at this point either but not because she had a child out of wedlock, or because her mother is Sarah Palin, she shouldn't be there because she doesn't dance well and hasn't improved enough to stay on the show. Of course her dancing has improved since she started but Kurt Warner and now Brandy should have never been voted off before Bristol. Maybe the judges should be the ones that choose who stays and who goes after all they have the expertise. Clearly people are voting for the wrong reasons for certain dancers as well as against others. It was supposed to be based on who improved the most in dancing not a popularity contest let alone a political statement. If Bristol does win this season I hope the show goes off the air because it would appear to most viewers the contest was fixed.
