“We support Buddy and the Valastro family during this very difficult and challenging time,” TLC said in a statement

        Are you kidding me?

TLC should have taken the "no comment" route. Only watched the show twice out of curiosity, just a bunch of foul mouthed people making cakes and yelling at each other. Certainly not entertaining in the least.

How would you feel if your brother in law was doing the same thing and got caught?

I feel for buddy, its hard. He has to see his family go through pain and anguish. Its like finding out your brother killed someone and never saying anything till now. How would you feel?

Thats why they offered their support to BUDDY, AND THE Valastro family, AKA BUDDYS SISTER THAT MARRIED THE MAN THAT DID THE HEINOUS ACT.

          SERIOUSLY BUDDY, GET A LIFE.

TLC is all about family. Its family entertainment. enough said. But for you to ridicule their position and choice is poor on your part. Guess maybe your just one of these guys capable of doing acts like this.

On another note, if you dont like the show. DONT WATCH IT.

Okay. Yes, I watch the show. The cakes are feats of engineering which are interesting. I thought Remy was the mild mannered guy as he is the most reserved man on the show. Still waters run deep.

Wow!! I wonder how his wife is taking this information. It makes you wonder what causes a person do something like this.

their cakes are amateurish - especially if you've ever watched Ace of Cakes. not worth the time to watch the show

            "Amateurish" ???????????????

You-decorating a cake would be amateurish.

They are far from it. Ace of Cakes and Carlo's Bakery are two styles of decorating/assembling a cake. You can not compare the two.

Both are excellent in what they do. What a shame that even a reality show about cakes -has someone in it that makes the news.

Take the time to watch the shows sometime. You'll get it.

Yes take the time to watch them.........uh nope! Maybe if they just filmed them making the cakes it would be all right, but their idiotic and sometime juvenile drama makes the show unwatchable.

I agree that the cakes by Duff and his crew are superior looking.

Half the cakes that Duff's crew makes on Ace of Cakes aren't even edible because they are made out of styrofoam! At least the cakes on Cake Boss are made from actual cake!

I watch the show all the time and am very surprised this guy did anything like that...he always seemed so quiet and calm, but a lil fame can make a guy think hes hot @!$%#, which i think happened to him, he thought oh i can get and do whatever i want...well guess not buddy!

What are you smoking?  You must not be watching the same show!  My cakes are of an amatuer status; I could never create anything like he & his staff do.  Duff is nowhere near the same level.

In comparing "Cake Boss" to "Ace of Cakes", I say this--- I would never buy a cake from "Ace" no matter how cool it looked, because I'd hate to see how filthy these people are OFF screen as they are ON. One episode, I about threw up watching one of the mumbling-girls squish fondant as her fingernail polish was chipping in it and wiping her nose with the back of her hand. As far as the SHOW goes, I can't understand half of what the Ace kids say because they all mutter and mumble and float around like they've all been sharing a joint in the backroom. Between the unsanitary conditions, the mumbling staff (with the exception of the red-headed gal who CAN actually speak) and Duff's annoying laugh, I quit watching the show. I don't know WHY it is even a show. "Cake Boss" on the otherhand at least seems like a professional business. There is enough going on there with the family drama and such that it's sometimes fun to watch. My comments have absolutely nothing to do with this guy being arrested, but I felt like adding them anyway, especially since there aren't all that many. : )

I like this show and I wil continue to watch it every family has something go wrong or have a family member who gets into trouble but this shouldn't affect the show I wish them all good luck.

"cake boss" does much better work than Duff.

Cake boss is a real working bakery

These places make cakes and use power tools and wood with all the food nearby - I probably wouldn't eat any of them. Do they sterilize the pvc piping they use in construction??? What about the dowels they stick through the cake? Is anything clean when they work?

I do enjoy watching both shows, although I DVR them so I can jump past boring parts and commercials.

Very sad to hear about Remy. If it's true, shame on him. Either way, this has got to be difficult on the family. I was molested by my uncle when I was 11 to 13 years old (he died of cancer when I was 13). It shocked my family when years later I told them. He was a 'great guy'.

it's a disaster for the family, and I wish them the Lord's peace as this works out. you will always have flittering flakes attracted to success, and if the charges pan out, one moth has dove into the fire. that usually does not affect the candle.

Too bad he didn't beat the crap out of the stupid loud mouthed matriarch of the family. This show is bad entertainment. TLC seems to be latching onto people who end up going crazy once they start to make a little money from their shows. Myabe they need to do a Remy and Jon show............suddenly single, perhaps?

Buddy should have been arrested as well..for fraud. He uses way more "cereal treats" in his desserts that actual cake batter. They should change the bakery name to Carlo's Cereal Treats and Sometimes Cakes.

The guy who commented about the "cereal treats" was right on!!!!! Every eposide .... cereal treats. What a joke.

On a serious note, the family should bail him out- innocent until proven guilty. They won't, however, for fear that the backlash may end the gravy train that is the television show.

I have sympathy for the families of all involved. I read on another site that he confessed to something inappropiate with a teen. Not sure how true that is. If so, it's really sad. Nothing good will come from that.

I can't stand the show. It seems like it runs 24/7 on TLC. I wish they would make it go away. It is boring and not in the least bit entertaining. I don't know how they stay on the air.

Based on what I have seen on the show, he is safer in jail than he will be if he gets out. His wife is going to kill him for sure...

This, perhaps, is the inevitable outcome of augmenting a tried-and-true recipe for New Jersey reality perfection. Who, in retrospect, couldn’t have predicted that substituting sugar and icing for vodka and protein would have some undesirable after tastes once the yeast has risen in our new found convection? http://scallywagandvagabond.com/2010/08/new-jersey-reality-show-cake-boss-co-star-remy-gonzalez-arrested-for-sexual-assault-on-a-minor/

Both shows are reality nonsense - situations set up to make the shows appear interesting. Life is just not like that.

what fantasy world are you living in? Seriously, I can relate to the family portrayed on these shows, quite alot. No offense but you need to grow up and out of the fantasy world, unless your rich, because then you need to get off your high horse and realize the real world dosn't live like you do.
