i love the woman in the show, they show the range of how women where changing in all areas of live at that time, i was a very small child at the time, but i do remember how women where fighting to be their own self, my favorite one on the show is Joan, she is so strong at work, but is fighting like everyone one else at home , i feel like her, ( im a red head too) love the show, dont stop
I love Betty. I worked with someone just like her . . . no stretch there. I remember the clothing, the hair, the endless hours in spike heels doing the bidding of every man in the office while they tried to get their hands on me one way or another.
This show has it all --- and the way things were at home is equally accurate in its portrayal. It was a tremendous time for women.
Yea the good old days for white folks, if u weren't white God help you if you were a person a color AIN'T AMERICA SURE IN THE HELL WASN'T My parents fought the battle to give me the chance & I have succeeded I watch the show so I never forgot
This show has been on for a few years now and already won awards for best dramatic show, twice! The writing is as good as any on television. The fact that it is set in the late 50's and early 60's, allows the viewer to contrast today's values with the values from that period and reflect on how we view things in America today. Are our values real or an illusion?! The women in the show are living in a "man's" world but we get to see them, from a pre-woman's liberation, point of view. The main thing is, the characters are believable, fallable and anything but heroic. It has been my favorite show, ever since I first watched it. The only show any better is "Breaking Bad" on the same network.
This is exactly the period of time in which I hit the work market. It is so refreshing to see that period accurately portrayed as far as women. Often when I relate some of my personal experiences to folks in offices today they look at me like I'm from Mars. These things were real and they did happen. Love this show!
i am totally addicted to this show!!! i love it! i was a child of the early sixties and remember my mother looking like this and i think it is fabulous!!

Great actresses. The female roles (including the Draper's daughter who is adorable) make the show!!!!!
What a show. Obvisiously Don Draper is the man, but those women are great. I love Joan, her role in the show needs to be expanded.
Betty- well she is very hard to like-
Peggy- it is fun watching her find herself.
Keep it up ladies, the show is great....

I think this is going to be a pretty good show just based on the cast and the story line. Can't wait to see how the first season goes.
