The new movie should be about Harley Quinn... maybe trying to spring the Joker from Arkham or something.

My top two choices would have been Johnny Depp or Jim Carey. Both of them can bring out the dark side and work well with quirky mannerisms. Hopefully down the way, Joker will be revived as he was never killed off.

No way... Hamill VOICED him really well in the animated series... but visually, he could not pull off the acting.... it would be campy... maybe in the last incarnations of Batman, when Jim Carey was the riddler, that would have been ok... but these films are darker, and more intense...

There will be no more Joker in THESE string of films... but don't worry, I'm sure they'll reboot the series again in a few years, (don't wanna kill the cash cow)and try out a new Joker eventually... .

In animation and in voice. I'd say the best Joker would have to have been Cesar Romero.

I'm amazed at the number of Batman films that have been made. And almost all of them have been at least reasonably successful.

I played the "Batman: Arkham Asylum" game over and over, and even knowing the Joker is Mark Hamill, it still sounds nothing like him. The voice is amazing, especially considering he can't use any physical mannerisms or expressions, just relying on his voice.

Amazing game too, I couldn't stop playing it for several months.

JGL would be awesome for a number of reasons, the highest of which is his acting ability (genius) but a close second is the fact that he actually looks like Heath Ledger. I agree. And I don't think it would be a knock against Heath. JGL is just a decent enough fellow to play it Ledger's way as a tribute. He could still bring some of himself to it without affecting the character too much.

I have to agree completely. Beisdes, give it a decade or two and Batman will be reinvented yet again and we will have a new joker. But for this series, Ledger is it. RIP Heath.

That thought is right up there with the person who suggested Megan Fox as Raj Al'Ghouls daughter. Fortunately Christopher Nolan believes in casting name actors who can actually act.

It will be cool, because they will do it eventually. But I personally would like to see a few more as is. I think its too soon for Batman Beyond in this revival of the Batman series.

I thought the exact same thing, except Williams is a little old for the role. Even some sort of role they could put him in would be better than the absolute crap Robin has been doing. They could make him the Riddlers demented father. Somebody needs to drive these people to become super villians.

Why is Robin Williams too old for the part? The Riddler isn't a hand-to-hand fighter, age doesn't really matter to the character.

Ya you like Sam Jackson as Fury cause he was a total BA in Pulp Fiction. Also, wasn't Nick Fury changed to a black guy in the comics, so that worked out well. The whole point in making a movie off a comic is to stick to the comic as close as possible. Therefore, since the Riddler was never portrayed as a black man, it wouldn't make sense to have a black man as the Riddler.

I don't really pick my actors by their sex appeal. Mainly cause I'm not into chicks. I think putting one of the sirens of 80's film back into a possible sex symbol status would really lend another level of context to the story. If not Cher then maybe Meryl Streep or Deryl Hanna (Like how Demi Moore did). Go the "Sunset Blvd." way. Put that against a sweet young thing that catches bruce's eye. maybe Raj Al'goul's daughter as played by a Meghan fox, but good actor, type and it could really be a story. Catwoman has a relationship with Bruce Wayne at the same time he finds romance with the younger girl. As a result Catwoman goes insane with envy and turns into a villian. Since Selina Kyle really knew what Batman's id was she could find it out and make it the new personal conflict/contact that batman needs to the world.

Halle Berry really killed it for me with Catwoman being played by the tiny black leather wearing typical pretty type anyway. Nolan doesn't do things just for the sex appeal. His Villans so far have been very deep. I think it would be good to have a female villan or even hero who isn't skin tight clad in leather and a perfect wet dream for little boys. Finally someone who you can respect as the villian and not just so, oh dude, she's hot.

The previous Batman series (Burton/Schumacher) went overboard with the secondary characters. The first film was the best, and then they went progressively downhill as more characters were added. By the time they got to Batman & Robin, which had no fewer than 5 heroes/villains, it was just a train wreck. These films work best when they are driven by the conflict between just a couple of characters, rather than Batman/Bruce up against half of the rogues gallery.

Cher WAS considered for Catwoman, but in the old series--the one that Burton was overseeing. Michelle Pfieffer landed the role in the end.
