I bet that at the worst case scenario she pushed him away. She stays away from the camera with her personal life including her kids. This is ridiculous press...

I am pretty sure he will start having nightmares and severe emotional stress as a result of the incident. This is the kind of trauma that ONLY a couple million dollars of Jodi Foster's money will erase!

Poking someone in the chest and grabbing their arm is now considered roughing up?? I remember when the term meant actually causing someone physical harm, like punching them a few times in the head.. what a bunch of bs

Good for her! If he's 17, he should have the brains to leave smaller children alone. If he's 17, he should be able to withstand having his arm grabbed. Don't mess with mama and her cubs. I still remember the time some high school jerk whacked my small son with a hockey stick and and I unfortunately stayed calm. I should have poked him the chest at the very LEAST.

Stop the H- I suspect a more refined system then a turkey baster but I would not be a bit surprised if it wasn't donor sperm at a clinic. (No, not the Poster knonw as Donor, at least I don't THINK so.)

The first article I read about this the dad whined about his kid being small for his age as if she didn't have a right to defend herself. Well, he would have be Tom Thumb size considering Jodie's only 5'3"

Foster and her children have a right to their privacy. Most parents would be embarrassed to have such a wimp for a son. The boy and his parents seem to be looking for their "one minute of fame". If he was close enough to be pushed he was too close. Hopefully the "little darling" wasn't injured badly in the awful melee. (facetious).

Since when do 17 year old go to a movie carrying a camera? This kid was a stalker hoping to get a good shot of Jodie and her kids...she has a right to demand that he not take pictures of her kids...and if getting poked in the chest and having your arm taken is being "roughed up" then so be it.

If she was in a public place, he can legally take photos.  However, Its hard to blame her for protecting her children.

Lots of people have cameras and camera bags with extra lenses, but whatever happened to common courtesy.  Why did he not ask?

I, too, have a nice camera with extra lenses and a great bag, but I don't carry it around hoping to run into a movie star. This guy was clearly out to get her photo - he didn't just randomly run into her and start snapping. If it was a coincidence, why not ask politely to take a shot? Just because she's in public and a celebrity does not give us the right to take pictures at will. She is allowed her privacy just like we are. Why can't she have a nice night out with her kids? Those parents are simply out now to see what they can get from Foster. They obviously didn't raise their son well. He's a slime in the making and they are blood suckers. Their son got beat up by a girl! Good for her!

I've heard about Julia Roberts doing the same thing. Kids should always be "off limits". I'm sure celebrities realize that these jerks are always lurking around some corner with a camera. But she should be able to take her boys shopping without having to worry about those creeps with cameras gawking at her kids.

Off limits unless you are Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. They willingly put their babies out there for pics. Who cares or who wants to know what they look like. Suri Cruise to me looks to be a bit spoiled. Whatever happened to dressing little girls in regular clothes so they can have fun?

Why put heels on a toddler?

A loving, caring, home is what children need. Families with a caring and loving Father and Mother there is probably the best for kids, but in other situations, ...gays, single parent homes, children will do well as long as they are loved, and cared about. A strong family, regardless of what type of family, is what kids really need.

She touched him. Aggressive behaviour is never acceptable.

She is brilliant; clearly, she knew he was quite young.

To put this into perspective, since you obviously DO NOT remember what 17 looks like, Justin Bieber is 16. GET it?

two wrongs never make a right....

AND, do look up the meaning of intimidate, won't you?
This 17 year old was on a public street.

                  Solidarity Nite

So, do you really think that Foster's tap was a gentle attempt at getting his attention? Honestly?

She knew he was young. She is brilliant. She was frustrated and crossed and acceptable line [period] and you know it.

Now, that he was a rude 17 year old; on that, I have no doubt, but a mature star knows that the courts never, EVER, permit celebrities the right to touch a paparazzi or their cameras.

Indeed, it's quite likely that because she did "touch" him that the courts will find that she did NOT believe he was a paparazzo and was, indeed, a teenager taking photos.

Had she really believed he were a paparazzo, as a celebrity familiar with fame, she well knows to keep away from them.

Do all paparazzi need manners? Yes. But Foster is a mature woman and he's not an adult.

                  Cheers!

Yeah, I honestly do.. if she wanted to actually hurt him she would have done something other than gently prod him and take his arm. As for your "she knew" thats just bs mindreading.. she couldn't possibly know who he was or how old he is or what his true intent was.. She did nothing wrong with taking him aside gently and asking him to leave her and her kids alone.. really its shameful that someone can't do that without ridiculously being accused of assault
