Nicole ABSOTELY had an unfair advantage!! She can be considered a "Semi" Pro being a Pussycat Doll Dancer. I am very disappointed not only with the outcome of the winner tonight but with this whole season. This season's Cast of D List Celebraties were all horrible chioces ( Kate and Nicole !!! ) Very Dissatisfied.

I totally agree to Lexie, Nicole is a not just a semi-pro, she's a professional dancer and in Las Vegas!!!! I will not watch this show anymore, it used to be interesting and entertaining to see how someone improves their dancing even though they are star in something. even when Kate is a diva to all, she is the kind of reason why lots of people watch this show, to see how someone becomes a dancing star.

Nicole definately had an advantage. It wasn't her dancing; her advantage was the biased judging.

Nicole ABSOTELY had an unfair advantage!!

That's just an excuse because the popular vote was basically going to Evan. In past years they said the ice skaters had unfair advantage.... except for those people who wanted the ice skater to win. It's all in who the voter favors and then if their favorite doesn't win, the background of the winner can be used as an excuse to try to discredit them. The best dancer won and thank god for that. Unlike in idol where some dorky pretty boy wins because the crowd has a crush on them - or in this case, I've heard most, that they loved Anna and Evan's relationship. It's about dancing. If you want it to be about the person who has the least experience, who tried the hardest who improved the most then you better stick with Buzz and Kate.

I liked the last three dancers I thought they were amazing. But the best dancing couple won.

I had no idea that Nicole performed in Las Vegas.

I can not imagine that she does ballroom dancing in Las Vegas.

I really wanted Evan to win and all my votes went to him all the time.

I do not know if the popular vote would have gone to Evan because if it did, then he would have won.

I really did not understand how the judges went off on him concering his freestyle. I LOVED EVAN'S FREESTYLE AND was it not called freestyle?

Nonetheless, Evan has a gig performing on ice and just won the GOLD for MEN'S FIGURE SKATING.

I spit when they spoke with Apollo last night. After the last Olympics when Apollo said unfair judging had him disqualified from an event WHEN APOLLO PUSHED A SKATER.

I saw it with my own eyes and I too have been on skates since I was 5 and was asked to be on a speed skating team. APOLLO PUSHED HIS COMPETITOR. What a jerk. KEEP APOLLO OUT OF THE PICTURE.

If you don't watch the show, fine. However, something tells me you will. You're just disappointed your pick didn't win. Yet, EVERYONE worked hard, each contestant. The plain truth is, if someone wins, someone's got to lose. Sometimes your pick will win. Sometimes they won't. Live with it and keep it moving! From reading these comments, and others on other sites, it's clear people want certain celebrities to win for reasons other than BEST dancer.

Hopefully they will make a show for you. It will be called: Buzz and Kate plus the 8 people that watch the show.

Yes. she was a professional and shpuld not have been allowed to compete except with other professional dancers. The judges made sure she received the top scores. The other two finalists did not have a chance. This was like placing Peyton Manning on a high school team and letting him compete against other high school teams.

This entire season has been rigged from the beginning. Kate Gosselyn should have been voted off from the first.

The Judges were practically slobbering to have the professionally trained Pussycat Doll dancer win. There should be TWO winners: one for professionals and one for true amateurs.

Nicole was so full of herself. She was almost harder to watch than Kate Gosselin. In my mind, Evan won. Nicole should never have been on the show - if every performance you give is full of choreography - I'm sorry - but you're a professional. They may have thought this was a great season... and parts of it were, but Nicole really left me cold with her "I have to worry about the right camera angle" approach. Ugh.

I noticed that Nicole didn't appear to have much to say to the other dancers and she surely didn't connect with the audience. She could have been in Las Vegas for the way she acted.
Erin and Evan improved the most. I'm just about done with DWTS...

          savagep and pata

I said the same thing. Nicole is good technically but she has no soul.

Erin and Evan HAVE AS MUCH SOUL AS ARETHA FRANKLIN.

Nicole reminds me of an ice princess.

She IS a professional dancer and it is not fair that she is in the competition.

I will continue to watch the show but I am forwarding a link to this seed to ABC so that they will know for the next season that we want AMATEURS.

            #6.2 - Wed May 26, 2010 4:27 PM EDT

So Nicole was an ice-princess...boohoo. Kate looked like she was crying on the inside. I think Nicole's demeanor is acceptable...she's professional, she's not displayng her thoughts all over her face. I would argue that she was not only professional looking but confident, which is a good trait to have in performing. Dancing is about skill and work and if they didn't want someone to have that on the show, they wouldn't have offered her the spot. and Kate was only on the show in the first place because still, somehow, she's the flavor of the week among the tabloids. Enough of her already.

Gee. The professional dancer won a dance competition.

Never watched before because I don't care for the show. However, I'm such an Evan fan that I thought I'd give it a shot just to see him.

              I'll never watch again. Never.

AJ - One thing I have to say about Evan is that EVAN IS ONE OF THE MOST GRACIOUS PEOPLE ON THE PLANET.

When he won the Gold, he acknowledged how the Russian was ticked but that Evan still won.

Last night, Evan said some beautiful things again.

No matter what, if Evan is on the ice, I'll be watching him.

And since his rink is close to mine (a huge parking lot where I practice hip hop routines on roller blades), I am going to invite him to come and dance hip hop with me.

She did not master ballroom techniques, she rested on her dance skills, look at her footwork in the final jive - she did not do the footwork - she would have had to actually learn something other than choreography

Some people just don't get it.... The majority is speaking and most likely did pick the real winner - Evan - but he did not win. It's a "no brainer" to understand why people feel a dancer with Nicole's gift and training did not belong on this show. I thought DWTS was a dance show competition in which stars/celebrities were taught how to dance. Who would have thought the show would actually have a "contestant" that danced as well as or even better than the pros!!?

And how Evan got less than a 30 score for his last dance is beyond me! Oh wait, the judges had to score Evan low in order for their favorite to win! The judges have been so blatanly biased toward Nicole & Derek since day one.

Why didn't they just announce the winner @ 9 pm since it was fixed anyway. No surprises

Considering Evan is not a dancing professional, but rather a skater, I was most impressed with his ability to come out looking as close to a pro as you can get without being one. Nicole was fabulous, but might as well be considered a professional dancer. The show originally was about bringing on non-dancers and watching them learn how to dance, in the end the winner being the one that most accomplished the goal of learning how to dance. The show has changed a lot since the beginning.

Barb, I think the voters did put Evan over the top since he was in 3rd on Monday. But since the judges got to score an extra 2 dances that the voters did not, it most likely put Nicole in the lead. I think they should not do the extra 2 dances in the final. Let the people vote for all the dances! Get rid of the extra dances on the result show. They didn't have them in the earlier seasons.

There was never any doubt that Nicole would win - only who would come in second. She was just never very endearing and never grew that much as a dancer - started great and maintained her perfection. I was really hoping Erin would somehow sneak in with a win. She really and truly grew the most of those three in her dancing.

Thought the whole concept of the show was to take non dancer and with expert instruction they, the stars, would learn to dance and compete against each other. There wasn't any competition in this season, a pro is a pro. I know how about an ice dancing play off!!

All of you who are calling Nicole a "professional dancer," what is your definition of "professional dancer?" The pro's on DWTS are professional dancers. They dance for a living. Nicole is a professional SINGER. Dancing is involved. But, technically, she sings for a living. Therefore, don't hate because Nicole was able to bring a little-something-something to the floor in ballroom dancing. Erin and Evan didn't win because they weren't the BEST dancers. They were BEST contenders.

She was a DANCER in the DANCING troupe called The Pussycat Dolls in Las Vegas BEFORE they became a singing group. Technically she is a dancer who sings.

From what I understand she is a "Pussycat Doll". She's a professional BURLESQUE dancer not a ballroom dancer. There is a difference.

                                I'm still wondering why:

                                a) The producers of this show invited Nicole in the first place since she obviously doesn't meet the "no prior dance experience" standard for the contestants...

                                b) Again, knowing that the viewers want to see amateurs grow, overcome, and win the competition, why would the producers risk their ratings and viewers' enjoyment of the show to let Nicole compete.

This season's winner was a total letdown. How could any celebrity in future seasons enjoy the learning process if they thought they'd get squashed in the competition by a pro? Think about it.

I think this season's results will cause a downturn of viewer numbers and satisfaction. The producers have definitely shot themselves in the foot with this one.

As with other voters this season, I am definitely an Evan and Erin fan. They are stars in other professions, but definitely became dancing stars this season!

I was disappointed. It is true, Nicole is a very good dancer. Her skill level never changed during the whole course of the show. She has a whiney personality. She never developed and never learned, that I could see. The show needs to be changed in one of two ways: either don't have professional dancers as contestants. Or change the criteria by which the show is judged: not just best technical dancer, but how much contestants have improved, how much personality and charm they bring to it--especially improvement. The way the judges rate now, purely on technical dancing, is too limited. Or, again, if that is how they judge, no professional dancers need apply. And the comments the judges made, about how she had already won (even before Evan danced)--that was very poor. Nicole ended up with the mirrorball trophy, but she didn't deserve it and she didn't earn it. Evan or Erin should have won.

What needs to happen is to leave out the singers, because they all have dance moves and you would also have to leave out the skaters too because they have grace and are considered dancing on ice. Both Evan and Nicole would have to learn the professional dancing, which is different from their ice dancing or rock and roll dancing.

Also I have never, on any board, seen anyone criticize male rock stars who have been on DWTS who have danced prior to DWTS. It's always the female artists who are criticized. Fair is fair, so why no criticism when Joey Fatom? and Nick Lachey were on the DWTS? If we are going to go after one sex, be fair, you gotta go after the other as well.

I would also think a writer for msnbc would also be more professional and just report news and not give a biased opinion.

**yawn** The worst, most predictable season yet. I've watched DWTS since season one and this season will be my last. Yes, Nicole was the best dancer of the season and the series, but what did the casting directors expect? She's professional dancer who started dancing training as a child, even attending a fine arts school where she continued to receive years of dance instruction. Seriously regretting the hours I spent watching the past couple months. It won't happen again...

agreed this is my last season (the first season was rigged too) - she never learned real ballroom technique, just applied her previous dance skills - I will never understand the judging - they criticize others on thier footwork, but never Nicole (and she ignored ballroom footwork)

Remember, folks, in her own words, Nicole is an artist -- she's not like other people! Between her ego and Dereks ego, i'm surprised there was any room on the dance floor for the two of them!

the wrong dancer won -- not only because she was a ringer, but because the other two were WAY more what the show was supposed to be about.

I've seen people use that quote a few times on here. What's wrong with that comment? True, dedicated artists aren't like other people. They're serious about their craft. They strive for perfection while others invent excuses, and the co-signers make excuses for them. There's nothing wrong with striving for perfection. What's wrong is your own perception of a dance competition. You don't believe the BEST dancers should win a dance competition. More than that, where did people get the notion the show is "supposed to be about amateurs winning?" Where is that written? What sense does it make, given the clear fact most celebrities, on DWTS, are not by any stretch of the imagination amateurs. Most are professionals, some world-class, at whatever they do.

SHe had the advantage over Evan - Evan really should have won - and the comment about her not being like "other" people - ???  What was that all about.

Very disappointed in the judges - especially Len making the comment that he did.  I told my daughter before it started tonight that you could tell the last few shows that they wanted Nicole to win.  I am not sure this will be a show that I watch any more.

I fully agree. I thought it was appalling how head judge Len made the statement that Nicole should be crowned the winner before Evan even had a chance to dance! That was so unjust and unfair and everyone heard it live. If that doesn't say FIXED, nothing does!

I think ABC and Len should appologize to Evan and his partner and to the viewers like us. How could he get away with saying something like that on live tv? He should be removed as a judge!

I also think Nicole should have never been on the show. She is a professional dancer. Eventhough she doesn't dance ballroom, she still is a professional dancer and knows the moves and can pick up choreography easily and quickly which is a definite advantage for her and unfair for everyone else on the show.

I will never again watch dancing with the stars! IT WAS RIGGED! They have lost me as a viewer!

That comment Len made was no different than when the judges are asked who they believe should remain on the show. Len didn't say: "Nicole you WILL win." He said: "You SHOULD win." There's a difference. Len could've said the same thing to Evan. And, it's just a big, So What? Give Nicole her props. Nicole's prior dance experience wasn't the reason she won. Plenty of celebrities had prior "show dance" experience and didn't cut it with the ball room dancing. Nicole won because she's a fantastic dancer. To be able to transfer her skills to ballroom dancing was nothing short of fantastic! If you don't watch the show again. Rock on! One falls, another rises to take its place.

I believe that for the first time the judges "rigged" the vote. Tom said in the middle of the show that only 5 points were the difference between "1" and "2" after fan voting, therefore, the judges had to vote all 10's for Nicole and less ( two 9's) for Evan to make sure she won. That is who they wanted to win. The final score was only 7 points apart. Hmmmmmmm? I will think hard before I watch next year and my family has been a fan since it started.

If the judges WANTED Nicole to win, so what? Aren't they the judges? All the judges have prior dance experience. And, they were all BEST dancers, at some juncture. So, it should be reasonable they'd appreciate BEST dancing when they see it. I know I do. I could understand all the whining on here, beginning with Linda Holmes' article if Nicole wasn't the BEST dancer, if Nicole wasn't entertaining, thrilling to watch, whole nine. But, to drag all this whining on and on despite clear evidence screaming in the atmosphere is beyond me. Why? Why people want contestants who clearly aren't the BEST dancers to win a DANCE COMPETITION is mind boggling. I believe I know what's "moving" folks. But, I'll reserve that comment for another time.

I have to agree with Tortcots. Nicole is a singer. This is a ballroom dancing competition. As Carrie-Ann said, it is not the same as gyrating on stage as part of a group number. She took to the technique right away, easier than the other celebrities, but that doesn't make her a professional dancer. It makes her gifted. I don't remember all this outrage when M'ya was dancing. She had the same level of experience as Nicole, so what's your problem?

If the producers don't cast anyone with any natural talent, we'll be left with Buzz Aldrins and Niecy Nashes all season and no one will watch because it's not entertaining. It's fun for the first couple of weeks but torture after that.

I always find it funny to hear that people won't watch next season. Yet the ratings get higher and higher. And for those of you who think the voting is rigged, give it up. That Buzz Aldrin lasted 3 weeks getting 12s and 13s. Obviously, the viewers voted for him to keep him around 3 weeks longer than he should. Pamela Anderson, a judges' favorite, was knocked out even though her judges's scores were so much higher than Niecy's. I think your tin foil hats are on way too tight. See all of you next season. I will bet on that.

I didn't think Maya should have been there the previous season either. But look at Brooke, Giles, or Helio from previous seasons. They did not know how to dance but ended up great dancers in the end. I think those are the kind of celebrities that should be cast, not pop singers that already can dance.

They should just make another show and call it Celebrity So You Think You Can Dance Ballroom. That's where the Nicole, Maya, and Joey should compete.

Thank god the judges have some control or this would be another American Idol dud where only the popular vote matters (I love Evan, kiss kiss) and the best dances do not win, which were clearly Derrick and Nicole.

Every one was harping the year Kristi Yamaguchi won because of her skating background. Now they are saying Evan should have won because he is a total innocent with no back ground in dance. Give me a break. The last three couples were wonderful and the best dancing couple won.

Oh give me a break. You all will never watch again, and yet you watched the finale, knowing what the outcome would be? This is the first season I've actually watched all episodes, and I thought the bar was raised because of this season - I loved watching Evan, Erin, and, yes, Nicole, because they all did fantastically - If highest ever view ratings for DWTS translates to 'worst season ever' based on these comments, then I can't wait for the coming seasons. Way to go to all the finalists - you all did great!!!!!
