It's all about the judges, not Ryan. AI will lose half of it's viewers once Simon leaves.

Ryan and AI judges do not carry Idol. The contestants do. Last year, Adam Lambert carried idol. Stop picking on Ryan Seacrest.

Then he had the nerve to make a Bryan Dunkleman "joke" this past week. This man is way too full of himself.

If Ryan Seacrest succeeds Simon, that's as good a reason to stop watching as I can think of and believe me, I'm not alone!

Emphasizing Ryan in no way eases the pain of losing Simon. Simon IS AI. Period.

The judges need to find another Lambert next season to take the focus off Ryan/them and put it back on the contestants where it belongs.

Ryan is Ryan, but Ryan is not AI. If show continues at all, a BIG overhaul is needed with #/method of judges/judging, voting, & selection

Someone needs to tell Ryan to stop trying to put all of the focus on himself. It should be on the contestants.

I was a big fan of "American Idol" am no longer a fan and do not watch the show anymore. I think the voting is crooked, the judges just don`t have it anymore. Love Ellen but not as an Idol judge. Too many changes and not for the best.

Kristin Chenoweth an "entertainment legend"? Where did you go to school? All I can say is, when this big change-up occurs on AI next season, a large chunk of baby boomers will be tuning out. AI producers will be sorry they're just marketing to the teeny-bopper crowd. The baby boomer crowd is a huge market, and their opinions count for a lot. Most of the time, when you mess with the baby boomers, things don't turn out so well.

If this is about Ryan becoming the "star" or "leader" of the show, he's showing extraordinarily poor start quality and abysmal leadership.

Even though I enjoy listening to the contestants, the only chance I'll return to watching AI next season, after Simon leaves, is if Ryan is gone.  He ruins what is good about the show.

Ryan cannot carry Idol and taking it one step further, I wonder how much truly talented artists would audition without the chance of auditioning for Simon. While Randy, Kara and even Ellen are great judges, they aren't Simon. So, in my opinion, without Simon, there is no Idol.

With his continuous "...that being said...", Simon is nothing more than predictable and boring. Meanwhile, Ryan seems to think that he is the contestants' best friend and appears to enjoy goading Simon. Of course this is all scripted. I just want them to all shut up and let the contestants sing. The show is called "American Idol", not The Simon and Ryan Sniping Show. Yawn...

When Simon goes, I'm done. He gives the most honest answer. He's not as mean as in years past and he's always (ok, maybe almost always)"dead on" with his comments. He's the most respected opinion. So...no Simon, no American idol. AI will take a nosedive.

Ryan obviously thinks he is this generation's Dick Clark. He's cocky, rude, condescending, full of fake sympathy for the contestants. Why did he have to keep trying to make Didi Benami tell her story and cry, for ratings? for votes? for why???? Ryan's head has gotten enormous, I don't know how he gets it through the door or gets a headset on it. He is not the show, the talent and the judges are. He creates so many awkward moments, he's becoming creepy. Just shut the heck up Ryan, except when you're introducing people. Simon shoulda clocked him when he got in his face like that.

I used to love Ryan....he was so funny and charming. Now it just comes across how arrogant he is. I don't know if he is behind all the stars performing on A.I. But enough is enough. 3 performers in one night? Everyone comes on A.I. to promote themselves (I thought that is what the tonight show is for). This show is supposed to be about the contestants.....remember how it was? It was so much beter when there were the original 3 judges, Ryan was fun, and the show was all about the new Idol. I still love the competition and contestants....but the rest....stinks! Ryan is helping to ruin this show as he has "E news daily on E". He is just a jerk. I must add though that Harry Connick Jr. was fabulous! He was a great mentor, and he performed.....With the contestants!!! What a guy...total class. When he was talking onstage tellling a story about his wife....did you hear stupid Ryan then add that Harry is stilll with his wife? What a classless idiot!
