There's one problem with "Grey's Anatomy" centering an episode on the generational conflict between Avery and his overbearing, famous-surgeon grandfather. And that problem is that there are viewers still asking, "Which one is Avery again?"

Grey's is dangerously close to jumping the shark. Running out of story lines, so they are just repeating stories with new players.

Grey's needs to get back to basics. The show 2 weeks about about how cases changed some of the characters was the Grey's I knew and loved.

Maybe they need to think about getting some new writers instead of new characters.........!!!!! It's the same old same old every week!!

Some of them have potential, but they haven't done a good job of integrating them yet.

It's like the producers threw in these new characters and then didn't know what to do with them. The actors have no defined characters!

i like some of them but there are a couple they could lose. Bring George back, lose Izzy and get rid of McArmy...he is creepy.

Too many characters - need a program for the program - hey I know let them wear uniforms with their names on them!

Honestly though... Avery was the only 1 I knew the name of. The rest are dispensible and unlikable. Avery is cool!

I want the old Grey's back... you all are boring me now! I don't even use space on my DVR anymore. I can read all about the ho-humness here

I don't care for any onf them except Avery - keep him around and lose the rest. It was a ridiculous storyline to begine with.

I like the Charles Percy character! He's very different from the others and I want to see where they go with it. Strikes me as the jock who did everything in high school, went to med school, expects it all to go his way ... I want to see how it develops. I like his look.

Personally, I think the lady who is writing these stories is jumping the shark. She's not approaching the show with an open mind and all she does is rip it apart. If you don't like the assignment - let someone who can do the assignment justice (and I'm not talking about saying how great the show is... just a more diplomatic and realistic approach) write it. The show at its heart is still very good. I am sad to see the day fast approaching when we're really not watching scripted tv anymore --- it's all drivel like Survivor, Idol, DWTS(gag).... things where people can be as nosy as they want and live vicariously.... Again, Ms. Holmes, please give up writing about this show and find a new job. I beg you.

I like Avery but the other Mercy West doctor's need to go! They don't add to the show.

Like others have said. Have to go back to basics.

Mererdith Grey got the big numbers for Grey's. always. Shes the story. you can't push her aside all of the sudden and not give her any story lines and good lines and decent amount of scenes and expect the 30 million fans to remain your fans. no they will shrink down to 10Mil. and it's on its way. this season is the lowest rated not cause of DVR alone but fans are turning the channel cause these stories are not finished, every storyline is with a loose end. the characters are lost. you keep adding new ones when your original cast still has a lot to say. if you ran out of stories for your Meredith Grey and original 7, your original cast; then get new writers. NOT NEW CHARACTERS. I wonder if SHonda and co still even care about the show or the fans for that matter. because if they do they will listen to what the fans want.

Meredith Grey is Centric. She's the show.

The fans want to know more about Meredith about Cristina (not her face sucking attacking animal of a boyfriend who simply does porn i'm sorry to say, I don't let my 16 year old daughter watch his way of kissing or making love cause it looks like rape) they want to know about Alex about Calley Arizona Mark Derek Richard Bailey Lexie, ok fine and Avery.

MY GOD, look at the lineup look at those amazing characters, with phenomenal actors behind each character. FANS WANT THEIR STORIES. not new ones. not extras no...

If you want to save Grey's Anatomy, listen to your fans, who made you what you are today, who made this show as big as it is now, listen to them and go back to basics please. you're the only show on tv that shoves her lead character to the background and is proud about it. shame on you. It's sad to see those actors work so hard sacrifice so much, take short maternity leaves even, beat all the odds and work no matter what the situation is, and just get better and better with time and this is how you pay them back? Don't you find that a little degrading, and humiliating? or is that ok with you?

One advice. listen to your fans.

I run a big company. yes I do watch Grey's Anatomy. my whole family does, it's a must in our household now. point is what I've learned all those years is just when we think we got hold of it all, and yes we know what we're doing; that little advice, the mail boy gave me, the one I didn't bother to pay attention to, the mail boy who is doing the same job I did 20 years ago, that's the one advice I should have listened to. So my advice to you is listen to your fans. the fans who made you. And always stay grounded and be grateful your lead actor didn't jump the ship long ago when you started treating her like an extra on her own show. That all the other actors are ok stepping aside while you bring in 100 new faces to shove them down the viewers throats. Sorry for the harsh language but that's exactly what it feels like. Harsh but true. listen to your fans, you won't regret it.
