Heidi Montag's album flops despite media blitz

Despite a media blitz (mostly detailing her recent plastic surgeries), Heidi Montag's "Superficial" is a total stiff, selling fewer than 1,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Even with all that plastic surgery, she is nothing but a curiousity. Her only contribution to reality TV is her and her hubby's ability to flaunt their narcassistic personalities for all the world to see..

Thanks goodness music appeals to your audible senses...with an emphasis on senses...

Wow... she read a million tweets? What an amazing accomplishment. Too bad she didn't think to charge for the right to tweet her.

The only way she got 15 minutes of fame is from her multilated body.

Quick, round up the 1,000 people that bought the album and throw them in a volcano. Would our nation be better or worse off without these people, I ask you?

Poor way to do it, yeah, but they're stimulating the economy by buying those records...er, CDs!

Yeah, yeah...that's the ticket! That must be it!!

You mean she's stimulating the economy. She bought all 1000 cd's sold.

There is no surgery to install talent or brains. She is out of luck.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. A no-talent somebody wanna-be gets what she deserves. Doesn't seem to happen often enough.

The weirdest thing is that she looked better before the surgery than after.

C'mon, she looks fantastic now. I'm not a surgery advocate in the least but at least I'll say it, she looks good. The problem with most celebs is that they overshoot the landing and start looking odd.

She just needs to stop now.

      #7.3 - Fri Jan 22, 2010 8:45 AM EST

No, Z, she doesn't look fantastic. She already looks odd. Someone below commented that she "looks so artificial now, a wax replica of a human being", and I have to agree with that.

This is pretty sad, actually painful to watch. I have no admiration or respect for reality tv or their "stars". She paid all that money for beauty that a lot of people don't find beautiful. She paid a lot more money to record and album called "Superficial" that flops because its...well...superficial. Is she really so slow that she doesn't get this? Or is that her strategy for making a living?

Well just read an article where she almost died from her 10 plastic surgery's in one day, so much for fingers crossed.

It was put out later by a surgeon that she lied about how she almost died.

Its good to know that people might still appreciate talent over hype. Now if we can get other singers who rely on looks to get a deal then I might be happy. I never liked her and don't understand why the media keeps writing about them, perhaps it is for a laugh. I wish they could see that people (even the famous) are laughing at them, which makes me sad.

No super sad, just sad that they don't get it.

Well, either Heidi and Spencer spent their last few dollars buying a couple hundred of her CDs, or they've got WAY more relatives than we thought

Heidi and Spencer are copying Paris Hilton's formula for achieving undeserved fame. I'm not surprised her album didn't sell well. Can't expect much from someone who has no vocal talent. Heidi should now spend time with a psychiatrist to figure out why she had ten cosmetic procedures in one day. She looks so artificial now, a wax replica of a human being. Sad. As annoying as she is, Spencer is ten times worse.

I never have cared for her, yet am sadden by her unsatiable desire for fame. She was actually a cute young woman before she had the surgeries; now she looks at least 10 - 12 years older. Cannot believe her desire to make her brasts even larger. Would not be surprised if Spencer dumped her soon, and no, I do not care for him either.

Obviously, because those are the extent of her "talent."

This could be a good thing for her, if she realizes that millions of people work hard for their money, (if they are lucky to have a job, in the first place.) It could make her more humble and more understanding of normal people and uncool people, outside her small circle of friends in the Hills.

Poor Heidi, no-one has told her not all are blessed with marketable talent and she unfortunately is one of those. Here's a thought, how about doing something with your mind? Or help others? I have yet to hear of any positive activities you have. Is there something you do to contribute to this world of ours? I mean, besides supporting a plastic surgeon. How sad.

I heard on the radio that she sold only 625 copies of the album -- much less than the generous 1,000 that MSNBC is claiming. All these people are probably relatives, friends, and friends of friends, considering she can't sing and buying the album is a total waste of money. I don't understand the obsession with making every celebrity or actor a singer, why do they think they are all capable of becoming recording artists? Even with multiple special effects and studio enhancements, their voice is still powerless, and the record labels are losing money by betting on these people who have no talent.

Why isn't my band in the news? We sold 1500 copies and spent less than $1000 to make it. Apparently I'm more successful than Heidi Montag. I'm so proud.

sweetiebabycookiehoney.... you need to tell us who your band is so we can help you at least double what Heidi sold. It isn't close to being good enough to merely beat her... let us help you smear her into the Billboard charts until there is nothing left to even remember. Are you on iTunes?

Wow! You guys are so mean! The girl's just trying to make a living. Don't worry though, we don't have to add to her wealth, I personally won't buy anything she has to offer. She does look good though, in a sexy, red velvet-walled, black-lighted, bedroom fantasy kind of way. I think I'm getting addicted to this Newsvine thingy, I may need therapy. You guys crack me up, it's better than Leno.

She had her butt enhanced - in other words - brain surgery. This woman is in serious trouble - delusional, stupid and soon to be unemployed. I agree with a previous writer - the 1000 people that bought the CD should be invited into the methane digester for an autograph signing. They won't even notice the smell as they approach and after we push them in the last thing they'll visualize is the white light leading them to a meeting with Ms. Montag. I wouldn't touch her with your 10ft pole - for fear that something might fall off. I also agree with another responder up there that said she looked better before the surgeries. I'd keep her away from the medicine cabinet and razor blades because if she ever has a moment of clarity her only option will be to exit - stage left....... (although I have a better chance of winning the lottery than she does of having a moment of clarity)
