I'm not even the new season shows...over 40 people lamenting that they're over 40. Who has time for whining over what you can't control?

I watch TV to escape, not to be reminded about how bad my life is. But, if I had a choice, I'd go for Roseanne, my life is just as crappy.

Murphy Brown was one of my all time favs right up there with Roseanne.

To me, it's so unfair that women are STILL making less money for the same work as men.

The up-and-coming, single career woman Mary Richards

"That Girl" presented TV's first single career woman living alone. Ann Marie wasn't a perfect feminist, but she made Mary Richards possible

Once upon a time, I was Mary Richards. But now I'm closer to Laura Petrie, the SAHM Mary Tyler Moore played on the "Dick Van Dyke" show

                  Roseanne is my feminine side!

I'm a SAHM getting ready to go back to school to earn a second bachelor's (a BSN). TV is fun to watch but it's make believe.

Not single, but the others don't work for a happily married woman who is also up and coming in her career.

The closest that represents me is Ann Romano from "One Day at a Time". A working single parent.

I am the polar opposite of Peg Bundy, but she sure was a hoot. Malcolm in the Middle mom was funny, too, I'm not like her, either.

My goal was to be able to financially take care of myself and find a true friend and partner with which to share my life.

None of these women really fit my situation, but Roseanne may be the closest, but not quite.

I'm definitely Mer, I am career focused and relationships seem to be an issue. I am currently in a long distance relationship. It works!
