King of Pop leaves the legacy of a boy prince

Most kings are destined to be remembered as kings, not as the person they had been before ascending to power. Even though Michael Jackson earned recognition as the King of Pop, the legacy he leaves is that of a boy prince.

God has two in his arms tonight. First, lovely, tenacious Farrah Fawcett , now: Michael Jackson. WOW What a sad day on Earth. A better day to wake in Heaven. RIP

Really your going to talk bad about a man on his dying day? What a sad life you must live. RIP MJ.

Thank you, Michael, for your wonderful music! You were a great entertainer!

My prayers are with his children, his family, and his friends. May he rest in peace.

I agree abreezy1. How can any human being being talk about someone like that who has just passed. Many of us grew up during Michael's prime during the 80's. Every girl in school loved him and every guy attemtped to duplicate the "Moon Walk". Granted, the last several years were not good for Michael, but then again, as a parent I would not accept cash for my child being molested, and I am not sure what parent in their right mind would. Could this have possibly been a set-up? God Bless Michael

Robert and trco; spoken like people who have truly killed their inner child. You don't even comprehend Michael's wish to finally have a real childhood, and you judge him based on your own perversions and misconceptions.

Michael was a good Christian; he's with God tonight, but I wonder if you two will be when your time comes.

Wow. Everyone is mourning Michael. Yea its sad that he died but the real Michael Jackson died when he turned his skin white.

Everyone is like "don't talk bad about Michael on his dying day" quite it with the Euphemisms and look at Michael for what he really was. Just becuase he died doesn't mean we forget everything he did. He is opening his "inner child" BS. The man was 50 years old and had some serious issues. I love how everyone hated him these past ten years and now everyone acts like they are sad because he died. We don't have to be nice to people just because they are no longer breathing.

Michael screwed himself over when he had a gazillion plastic surgeries.

Let's hope the other Jackson's keep their skin the color it is and don't buy NeverLand aka kid molestation land.

Im still sad that the real michael jackson that was under all of that crap died.

    RIP FARRAH AND MICHAEL

Ok but you realize his skin changing white was a disorder / disease he had no control over... right?

I think Michael Jackson was finally, emotionally spent in his life! I think the cardiac arrest was the final expense of a young, abused, psychologally damaged person. I don't condone his attitude and evasion of molestation charges and easy-money exchange for his freedom; however; he never really grew up and escaped his pressures from the entertainment world!

It is true he was an excellent entertainer: " I loved "Thriller" and loved to dance and skate to his music in those 80's years. Everything added up to his unfortunate, fast death.

I am sure most of his other fans will continue to appreciate his music; yet feel sorry for his life. God will have mercy on him and treat him as a child, too in heaven, because God loves children and He knew Michael Jackson despite his business savvy, would always remain a child in HIS eyes. RIP Michael.

You seem to have a confused notion of death. If Michael Jackson is with a diety now he is not resting in peace. RIP is used a term to imply one is in a grave waiting the resurrection. Your ignorance is frightening.

to get to heaven you must know the Father and confess Jesus Christ as Lord. Whether Jackson did this or not is between him and God.

Talent or not he was obviously a very troubled person. From his monstrous looks to his behavior with small boys. What a sad and pathetic person.

Listen! I am not one to judge! Only God is his judge now! I was raised to believe in Hell, Purgatory,( GOD"S COURT) and eventually Heaven. It is ONLY up to God to believe in Michael Jackson's actions on Earth, not us! You don't know ME! Who will forgive you? Nobody is Perfect! I said, if you had read my earlier speeches: I never condoned his attitudes, actions towards children: I didn't like the way he was aquitted! I said , may God have mercy, yet the man has only been cold a few hours and everyone is judging me! Michael Jackson didn't have to answer to us! only to HIM!

You don't know if he was born again or not so stop judging...and how about offering up a prayer or two!!!

            #3.2 - Thu Jun 25, 2009 10:15 PM EDT

I agree, and for those Christians who want to condem:

What about the creed---He descended into hell and on the third day...

What do you think Jesus was doing done there? Has it ever occurred to any of you that he was invading hell to get those people out?

Isn't God supposed to be stronger than Satan?

If he is not able to do this, then he is weaker than Satan and is not God.

Sometimes people think that it is too late for them so they don't confess because they have no faith that they can be 'saved'.

Also, I don't agree that forums online are good vehicles for witnessing for the Lord/ conversions and so on. You need to do this as a personal one on one-preferably non techie and live!!!!

You also must try not to be a stumbling block---giving lectures and posting at people instead of conversing in a humble and friendly manner. It is a good thing that I was already saved before I came on this board because many Christians here exist for the sole purpose of embarrasing the religion/community so please back off. That is what it looks like.

There are appropriate web sites that you can refer friends to for guidance/information if needed.

Also, None of us knows what a real celebrity and his/her is like. We only know what the media tells us; and I am sure we don't get the full story from them.

Whatever, MJ did or didn't do, I miss the bright little kid who first came out -bright happy and I think that it is sad how the man seemmed to fall apart. Michael Jackson is not the only one who misses his childhood. Fame/hollywood the industry whoever, damaged him.

what a terrible thing to say! It is not up to you to say who goes where. He may have atoned for his sins with his God. There always seems to be someone like you who has something terrible to say when a celeb. dies. I hope there is someone to tell your story when you are gone. Respect should be given, he has small children left here alone. tortured soul that he was. He was such a influence on all music played today. But, again I hope there is someone to throw a rose on your grave when your're gone, you bitter person.

I will not celebrate the man. His legacy is that he was a pedophile. This is what he choose. He brought harm to children. This is now closed. He has received his just due. He is where he belongs... where ever that may be!

Meanwhile back in the real world - smart black woman - ain't so smart. LOL - pathetic. Michael Jackson was and is a loser and now he's just a dead loser. BTW - your boy was in the red - broke - LOL - he did not want to do this tour - it took everything 0ut of him - including his life.

Just because OJ was not guilty and not found so; doesn't mean that the same situation applied to Jackson. PS I am white and want to keep the racism out of these discussions.

                                              OJ was guilty.

                                              I don't know about Jackson.

We never know what plans Jesus has for other people. We are not privy to their prayers. Maybe they asked for forgiveness and got it? The thief on the cross did.

Why cast doubt on persons who have not been proven of any wrong doing? What do you gain?

I don't think nobody could compare to Michael, nobody had or will ever have the talent he displayed not only as a singer but dancer as well. He gave amazing shows and was just in a whole other genre and it is a sad day and week as Farrah and Ed also have died. My condoloences to their families and prayers go out to them. As an individual he had his share of issues as we all have some graver than others. But he still as an individual gave ALOT to charities and did lots to help those less fortunate than himself.

I didn't care for him or his music, but I do hope he has found the peace that eluded him during his life.

I am deeply saddened by this loss and hope people will remember the best of Michael Jackson. Life is too short to dwell on the negative.

I think those of you, who choose to believe that his legacy is a pedophile, are wrong, I'm 16 years old, and even though Im probably younger than most of you I grew up with Micheal Jackson, his songs were always played in my household, even after the accusations that he was a child molestor. It could be a lie that some lady cooked up to make money or it could be true, whatever it was, noone deserves to die at a young age of 51. He had a very rough childhood, and people who grow up in unstable conditions grow to become unstabe adults. That doesnt mean all of you can point fingers at him, you want to blame someone for his actions you blame his parents. He is a legend for his music, that is what makes him famous, yes recently he has been under public scorn for the molestation charges, and for his irresponsible behavior with his own children(hanging his baby over the balcony), but he should have some recognition for his music. Its not fair that you point out only the bad things he had a soul, he was a very confused and messed up man. I dont think you would all want to be remembered by just the bad things, you would want good things said about you. He wasn't evil, he didnt deserve to die, it wasnt his fault he did the things he did, we all know children that grow up in that sort of lifestyle usually become unstable. Lindsay Lohan, and Brittney Spears are good examples. I mourn for his death, I think the world has suffered a great loss. I will pray for his family, they will suffer even more than any of us will.

                                                      cath,

put your faith into something real and not a sad and pathetic entertainer like jackson.

he was responsible for his behaviors. he was never held responsible for his behaviors because he bought his way out. maybe if someone held him acountable he would not have died looking like a bleached out scarecrow who owed people hundreds of millions of dollars. he was a user and abuser of other people. how would you feel if that was your money he left owing you?

it is good to pray for his family - they have suffered for years because of his sick behavior. and if the truth be know they are probably part of the reason he turned out like he did. but bottom line he could have pulled himself up by the boot strtaps and did what was right - live as a black man, which he was and be proud of his heritage, which includes a broad nose and full lips.

I sang his songs way back when, and for once my kids played music I could relate to. Drama has a tragic face and a truimphant one. I choose to remember this person for the joy he gave us. I think I'll ask my kid to Moonwalk with me for the last time, even if it embarasses the *@#$ out of him... May he rest in peace.

I never thought Michael molested any child. I think he was the target of greedy people that wanted nothing but money. Michael's mind was that of a child. In his mind, sleep-overs were what kids do. In our minds, that's not normal. That is not grown-ups and children. People are always quick to jump to conclusions just because someone makes an accusation. No one knows for certain and I certainly don't believe the parents or that child when they said that Michael had molested him. If you want to blame someone, blame his greedy ass father who was so obsessed with money that he never allowed Michael to be a child.

Children are no safer today because he's dead than they were yesterday. Get real!!! There are plenty of "real" child molesters out there...just look around your neighborhood or even next door!!

I think Jackson was a cute and talented kid who received too much fame and fortune too young. As he grew older and turned himself into a freak I could never understand why he had any fans at all. He was creepy at best. I do not wish death on anyone, but pretending I think the world should shut down for 40 years because of his death isn't going to happen. The worshipping of these stars even after death is just as creepy. As far as where he is or where he is going...he will stand before Almighty God like the rest of us will one day and answer to Him and Him alone whether we believe it or not. May God have mercy on him.

Stop it already with making this idiot into some kind of spokesperson for Af-Am community--HE IS NOT AND HE NEVER WAS. By in large we are embarrassed by him and resent the major news outlets taking anything remotely associated with our race and caricaturizing it with this buffoon. We have never elected him to any officce yet the white media slap his ridiculous permed hair and hyperbole in our faces every chance you get. There are intelligent well-spoken, educated Af-Am everywhere! And all you can find is Al 'freakin' Sharpton or on a worse day Jesse (also never been elected or established as a leader or spokesman) Jackson. Michael Jackson contributed in a phenomenal way to our culture and humanitarian work throughout his life. He was acquitted of henious acts but condemned anyway. He was constantly surrounded but apparently isolated and lonely. Yet you can't find Stevie Wonder or Quincy Jones for a poignant message? PATHETIC. You add to the loss.

I do beleive that his childhood was very much taken away by his greedy father. Sometimes we push our kids to do the very best, but also we have to keep in mind that they are children and do have to live their child in steps. I just hope the media and his father do not take advantage of him astill after his death to fill their pockets.

I am a child of the late 70s and 80s and Michael Jackson was a master - he kicks the pants off of any of the talent today. I am sad to hear of his death - he had issues for sure but I think he was a gentle soul. To this day I cannot hear a song of his without wanting to dance to it. Thank you for your talent Michael - your music brings a lot of wonderful memories.

Such a tragic loss. Michael Jackson having to leave this world after being subjected to the most heinous accusations. It is no wonder his heart gave out! He had to surely have been broken hearted by the fact that some of the world turned against him! No-one deserves to be subjected to such unnecessary cruelty! Who amongst us has not suffered some sort of childhood trauma or otherwise? He gave so much to the world of music.... a legend indeed. Each one of us has been given perception, unfortunately too many wish to cast judgement... but i say...'there but for the grace of G-d go I!' Perhaps its time now for the world to stop hounding and badgering people because they can! There is no such thing as the perfect human being..we are all born with flaws EVERYONE! May Michaels soul rest in peace...he will forever remain in my heart as a great individual! My thoughts and prayers also go to his family who must surely be suffering through their loss of a wonderfully talented man. He and his family deserve nothing but respect and consideration. Fly with angels Michael!

What makes you believe he didn't molest those kids, were either of you there? He admitted he would sleep with kids in his bed,you can't honestly believe any good will come from those kinds of acts..

I am sorry he is dead ,but i wouldn't heap praise on him..He was an entertainer, nothing more...

Try and learn to see past the illusion that was created and read the real facts! Try being a little more open minded..you would be amazed at how different the world looks!
