He's already a failure. The stock market is still down, unemployment is still up, and we are still in Iraq with a military presence.

This false god will be the beginning of the end of this country.

Why in the world was 150+ million spent on Obama's inaguration when the United States of America is broke on our butts? How ridiculus is that!!

It is with great hope that we await President Obama's decisions to come to fruitation. We know that the problems are serious and will take time to resolve. However, it is assuring to have some one with an interest and a staff that is willing and able to confront the problems in leadership postion.

Will the President keep his commitments he made in writting in his BLUE PRINT FOR CHANGE document when it comes to PAY AS YOU GO commitment to the American citizens?

I hope the Texan Republican Senator who called for the delay of Hillary's confirmation is proud of himself. Months of investigating Bill Clinton's received charitable donations, and he needs another day! How pathetic! If that, by his measure, is reaching across party lines, he should keep his hands to himself. God, no wonder the Republican party is in the shape they're in. Could they be more vindictive? His action is appalling!

Pay freeze? Big deal! Surely they did not think they were going to get a raise on the very first day, did they? Show boating. Then Barry, Barrack, Hussien Obama, stated we are public servants we do not get our friends hired, promote ourselves, cater to the lobbyists, we serve the people. I would like to point out to Barry all his personal senior staff he surrounded himself with are people who parlayed their public service into personal gain. I am sure Barry Hussien of course will deny any knowledge what so ever of his senior staff, nepotism (such as Biden's son who has a government job when he gets out of the military) millions this used car salesman and the others have walked away with, non withstanding. In my humble opinion Barry did not earn the right, walk the walk, gain the experience, put in the time to make him even remotely qualified to be the commander and chief of anything. Nothing other than his blackness was the reason. The liberals needed votes, true conservatism did not run in the election race, so they lied, cheated, stole, bought, chicanery, took money from foreign anti American investors (covered it up), conflicts of interest up the wazoos and Barry gives a big speech on how ethics will be in this Administration as scandal after scandal after scandal follows him and his senior staff into the sacred Oval office. I think I am going to puke!!! The liberals do not think black people are smart enough to take care of themselves and must always be taken care of totally, thus keeping the allusion of righting wrongs, when in fact they have and are keeping black people enslaved, dependent upon big government for their bread, homes, jobs, indoctrination education system. The black vote was needed to make this happen, thus Obama. The Marxist bent current power in the White House now have no respect or pride in America. You can't feel and love America they way most Americans do when you grow up hating America. When you grow up wanting to take everything that made America the greatest republic in the world and call those things evil. Just my humble opinion and I am just an average America loving citizen.

Move on lobbying in administration is good but not really where the problem is. When is his campaign promise to curb lobbying in congress going to happen.

Obama you look great in the Oval Office. May God bless and keep you in his mercy. I have confidence that America is on it's way to where it should be--and i believe it will take time.

I cut and pasted this from the BLUE PRINT FOR AMERICAN from Obama campaign site. How does his order accomplish this promise?

BARACK OBAMA AND JOE BIDEN'S PLAN
                                Shine Light on Washington Lobbying
Centralize Ethics and Lobbying Information for Voters: Obama and Biden will create a centralized Internet database of lobbying reports, ethics records, and campaign finance filings in a searchable, sortable and downloadable format.
Require Independent Monitoring of Lobbying Laws and Ethics Rules: Obama will use the power of the presidency to fight for an independent watchdog agency to oversee the investigation of congressional ethics violations so that the public can be assured that ethics complaints will be investigated.

Okay, it's day two but these are not big steps. Freezing pay on govt staffers making over $100K maintains status quo for the next year now doesn't it?

As for the lobbying rule changes, every civil servant not on the President's staff has had to comply with rules like this for decades.

What a hypocrit. Spend millions on parties and then freeze the way of your advisors. It's all about Obama people, wake up!!

George Bush increased the federal deficit by 5 trillion dollars and was crucified for it. Obama wants to do it in 5 weeks and he is praised.

How did this fool get elected?

Oh yea, the American public are fools as well.

President Obama, after only 1 day in office, is setting the example, doing what he said he would do, and is an inspiration to those of us who know how to spell the word.

"The rules"  to ban lobbyists from giving gifts of any size to any member of his administration.  It is about time. So much has been going on, time it all ends.

"The new rules also require that anyone who leaves his administration is not allowed to try to influence former friends and colleagues for at least two years. Obama is requiring all staff to attend to an ethics briefing like one he said he attended last week. "

Obama called the rules tighter "than under any other administration in history."

Hurrah!! You go Obama get to the root of the problem!
